Lillian Williams

Lillian Williams, age 95, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2023, at her home in Canton, Ga. surrounded by her loving family.

She was generous of spirit, benevolent to those in her life, and made a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be remembered by all that knew and loved her for her sense of humor, huge personality, and bright smile.

Born May 14, 1927, and grew up in Alexandria, LA. She was the daughter of John E. and Cornelia Williams. She was the fourth of five children.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents John E. and Cornelia Williams, her brothers, Henry, John E., and Howard Williams, and sister, Cornelia Williams.

She is survived by her daughters, Thelma L. and Lillie M Taplin; sons: Henry Winbush, Jr. and wife Irma D. Winbush; Craig J. Williams and wife Eva P. Williams; grandchildren: Trevor and Tracey Dunbar, Sharon R. Callier, Eric Crowder, and Alicia M. Winbush, Jason Williams. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces and friends.

Lillian retired after many years of service as a Postal Worker (LSM Operator) in San Francisco, California and retired in 1982, when she moved to North Carolina.
