Linda was born to L.D. and Allene Winston on April 24, 1947 in Durham, North Carolina. She had two sisters, Betty Lou and Diane, and one brother, Leo. She grew up in North Carolina and later met and married Buck Jacobs. The two had three children together, Wendy, Eugene and Michael. They later moved to Georgia as their family grew to include many grand and great grandchildren. After Buck's passing, Linda met and married Dennis Roberts whom she spent nine happy years with.
Linda was simply the "greatest." She love for others showed in so many ways - her laughter, her concern she inherited from her mother, how she would push food on you, her love of honesty and her focus on others around her rather than herself. She was a great cook and enjoyed reading magazine articles such as Home and Garden. She had a green thumb like no other and had a house full of plants, not to mention the largest tomato plants you've ever seen. She liked being active whether in church, outside, shopping, listening to Doo Wop or writing notes to keep precious memories. She will also be remembered for her ageless skin thanks to Oil of Olay.
Linda worked for the Cobb County School System for 16+ years and in the food and beverage industry throughout her life since the age of 20 and yet her most important job was caring for her family. Linda's memory and spirit will live on through those who cherished her most.
