

Linda Turner was Born on April 13, 1940 to Della Mae and Willard Marsh in Atlanta, Georgia. She is survived by her husband, Gerald (Jerry), sons Martin Wiseman, Jr. and Michael Wiseman, brother Jim Marsh, and sister-in-law Judy Marsh of Owosso, Michigan. Willard, Della Mae and family moved from Georgia to Huron, Ohio on Lake Erie in 1951. Linda attended Huron, schools and graduated from Huron High School in 1958. Linda married Martin Wiseman, an Air Force Officer and had two sons Marty and Michael. They lived in Florida, Madrid, Spain and in Goose Bay, Labrador during this time. In 1978 Linda divorced and moved to Atlanta where she joined The Coca-Cola Company. Linda worked for the Vice President of Latin America, and later worked for the Vice President of Executive Bottler and Customer Relation Department, working with international executives and overseas visitors to The Coca-Cola Company.Lindas son, Michael Wiseman, enjoyed bowling in a league with Linda, and participated in Special Olympics. Marty lives in Fairburn Oh and enjoyed playing softball and fantasy baseball and football. Linda was very caring, and protective of those with disabilities and animals. She was generous with her time and money to both and for several years volunteered with Good Mews Cat Rescue. In 1984 she married Jerry Turner and settled into a home in Marietta, Georgia. In 1990 they bought a lake house on Lake Hartwell and enjoyed boating, fishing and getting together with neighbors. Lindas son, Michael Wiseman, enjoyed bowling in a league with Linda, and participated in Special Olympics. Linda and Jerry enjoyed traveling. They made many trips to the Caribbean and Hawaii for scuba diving and snorkeling. They also made several trips to Europe visiting friends in the Netherlands, sightseeing in Spain, Switzerland and England, and taking a Rhine River Cruise.
Linda and Jerry were advid tennis players with their Wooded Hills Tennis Teams and won the ALTA City Mixed Doubles Championship in 1987. The tennis created many long term friendships.
In 2005, Jerry and Linda downsized and moved to a new home in Woodstock, where they were active in the community enjoying game nights and potluck dinners and getting together with neighbors.Linda and Jerry enjoyed a wonderful loving and varing fourty-years of marriage. They were longtime members of Hillside United Methodist Church in Woodstock, Georgia.
Visitation will be held Tuesday December 10th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Poole Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Wednesday December 11th 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Chapel of Poole Funeral Home; 1970 Eagle Dr, Woodstock, GA 30189 with Pastor Carol Pitts officiating.
The burial will be held on Thursday December 12th at 11:00 am Georgia National Cemetery 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, GA 30114
