Lois Yvonne Cresap

Born on May 14, 1938, in Decatur, Illinois, she was the beloved daughter of Everette Harold Conley and Lois Margaret Boggs Conley.

Yvonne lived her life by the motto “one day at a time.” She was proud to have shared 69 years of marriage with the love of her life, Terry Maxwell Cresap, and was a devoted mother to their three children. Her heart belonged to her family, and her grandchildren brought her endless joy and laughter.

Growing up, Yvonne was surrounded by horses and developed a deep love for animals that stayed with her throughout her life. She held a real estate license, was an excellent cook, and had a sharp mind for playing bridge. Yvonne generously gave her time as a Girl Scout leader and was known by all who knew her as honest, trustworthy, and full of grace.

She had a passion for traveling, whether near or far, and cherished the adventures life brought her way. Every Sunday Yvonne faithfully attended church service at her care facility.

Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Tamara Sue Cresap Rushton; her sister, Marjorie Bee Liaguno; and her grandparents, John Henry Boggs and Nora Florence Boggs, and William Conley and Bee Conley.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Maxwell Cresap; her son, Terry Maxwell Cresap Jr. and wife Laura; her daughter, Tricia Yvonne Paxson and husband Chad; and nine beloved grandchildren: Ashley Nicole Lenzen and husband Brandon, Benjamin Douglas Cresap and wife Kaitlin, Lindsey Kay Cresap, Garrett Lee Smith and husband Stephen, Shaylynn Yvonne Smith, Julie Yvonne Hudson, Sarah Lynn Dison, Mason Fredrick Cresap and wife Rebekah, and Abigail Francis Cresap. She also leaves behind nine great-grandchildren: Miley, Hyde, Luxe, Kyndall, Dylan, Delaney, Myah, Jace, and Jax.

Yvonne’s legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on through the many lives she touched. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

We rest easy knowing that she walked through the gates of heaven and was able to be reunited with loved ones.
