

Woodstock, Georgia -- Louise Walker died on Saturday March 11, 2023, at her place of residence, Camellia Place. She was born August 10,1931 in (Cullman County) Eva, Alabama, the 8th child of William Ashbury Smith and Effie Okay Smith.
Louise graduated from Walnut Grove High School in Walnut Grove, AL where she was a cheerleader. Louise then attended Berry College in Rome GA. Louise married her high school sweetheart, Travis L Walker. Soon after marriage they moved to Jacksonville, AL as Travis played football for the Jax State Gamecocks. Louise and Travis had two children, a son Travis L Walker Jr. and a daughter Janice Elise (Walker) Small. Louise and her family lived in several parts of the world as her husband, Colonel Travis Walker, served in the U.S. Army until his retirement. Colonel Walker preceded Louise in death. As the spouse of an Army officer, she not only was C.O.O of her own homes wherever they might be, but she also served in multiple capacities in the aid of her husband and those who served under him.
Louise had a successful career as a realestate agent and was the managing host of the Women's Southern Amateur Golf Championship in Huntsville, AL. She participated in golf course rating teams across the south. Louise greatly enjoyed playing competitive golf throughout the S.E. United States and playing competitive Bridge. She was a ferocious reader and a loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys, Atlanta Braves, and Auburn Tigers.
Louise is survived by; her two children and their families.
