Manny Loiacono

October 31, 1946 – January 22, 2020
Obituary of Manny Loiacono
IN THE CARE OF

Woodstock Funeral Home

Manny Loiacono Sr is now up in the clouds watching over us. Manny was a great man, a passionate husband, and a loving father and grandfather who cared more about his family than anything else in this world. From a goofy kid in Hicksville, New York (who sang opera) to a nightclub singer at the Copacabana (aka Rick Daniels) to a pop singer and songwriter in the 80's (“UNIPOP” CBS Records International) to the most accomplished piano tuner (by ear) in Georgia (and factory trained at Steinway and Sons in Astoria, NY), he could always bring a smile to your face and make anyone laugh with his quick sense of humor. He had a creative mind, a huge heart, a singing voice that could bring you to tears, and that twinkle in his eyes that could win anyone over – He was truly one-of-a-kind. Manny lived a beautiful life and is loved beyond words. Every time we hear a recording by Mario Lanza or Elvis Presley, experience a confrontation between the Republicans and the Democrats, savor a chicken marsala meal or just have a Coke with a smile, we will be thinking of this magnificent man. …a legend in his own time who touched so many lives. Save us a glass of Chianti up there, Big Daddy. We love you, always and forever.
