Marcus Alan Taylor

Marcus was born to William Lee Taylor and Gloria Joan Speer in San Diego, CA on December 22, 1962. Marcus spent his childhood in San Diego before moving to Atlanta at the age of 12.

Marcus had an amazing heart, a gentle soul and was a loving son, brother and uncle. His love for his family was above all else in his life, and was devoted to staying in touch with his loved ones with daily phone calls and weekly visits to his mother’s home. Marcus had a four legged son “Dank the Tank”, whom he adored and had with him always.

Marcus was a skilled mechanic whose spare time was spent helping friends repair and remodel classic cars. When he was not working on cars, he was often found playing video games, especially Call of Duty, with his nephew Carson.

He is survived by his mother Gloria Joan Speer of Dallas, GA. Brother and sister in law, Jeffery Lee Taylor and Sandra Taylor of Santee, CA. Sister and brother in law, Christina Lynn Polcyn and Donald Polcyn of Dallas GA. Step brother and sister in law, Robert Harvey Speer, Jr. and Julie Corbett Speer of Woodstock, GA. Stepbrother Phillip Ellison Speer of LaFayette, GA. Nieces and nephews, Brittany Lynn Arias and Carson Leigh Boyd of Dallas, GA, Joshua Lee Taylor of Santee, CA and Rebecca Maria Taylor-Wylie and Nico Wylie of El Cajon, CA, and Ashleigh Joanna Stanford and Rich Stanford of New South Wales, Australia. And great nephew Joseph David Wylie.

Marcus was preceded in death by his father, William Lee Taylor and his step father Robert Harvey Speer, Sr.
