Marjorie Wolfe Nassef

Marjorie Ann (Wolfe) Nassef, age 95, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on 10 September 2026. A Depression Era baby, she was born on 11 January 1931 in Brooklyn, New York, to Oscar William Wolfe and Sue Agnes Neighbors. The family later moved to Cumberland, Maryland, where she graduated from Allegany High School.

Margie learned to sew and quilt from her maternal grandmother, Alma Wilson Neighbors, and her mother. She won several sewing awards as a youth and later made clothes for her children and family members, including several wedding parties. During her life, she created amazing quilts for her children and grandchildren. While raising her children, she worked as a school bus driver, stenographer, and secretary, and later retired from federal service.

Margie is survived by her son Loren R. Plisco and his wife Patti, of Woodstock, Georgia; her son Charles J. Plisco, Jr., and his wife Cindy Huguley, of Brightwood, Virginia; her daughter Sharon Brown of Gloucester, Virginia; and her sister Linda Keister of Raleigh, North Carolina. She also has six beloved grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Pamela Wolfe Roblyer, her son Benjamin Franklin Elkins, Jr., and her third husband Farris Andrew “Andy” Nassef.

At a future date her ashes will be interred with her husband Andy at the Albert G. Morton, Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, Virginia.
