Mark was born on August 27, 1956 in Richmond, Indiana, son of the late Kurt Rudolph Glaubitz and Reneé Sophie Kahl Glaubitz.
Mark pursued his education at Georgia State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in History. His appreciation for the past was reflected not only in what he studied, but in the thoughtful attention he brought to the world around him. He devoted 30 years of dedicated service to the Pepsi Corporation, retiring after a long and faithful career marked by reliability and commitment. Mark found meaning in simple, lasting pleasures, talking to people, visiting with friends, and building the kinds of connections that endure. He also embraced the outdoors through backpacking and camping, and he enjoyed running. Among his interests were target shooting and collecting military memorabilia, pursuits that reflected his focus, care, and enduring curiosity.
For 47 years, Mark shared a devoted marriage with his wife, Elizabeth Striplin Glaubitz. He valued family deeply and remained closely connected to those he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Striplin Glaubitz; his sons, Chris (Jess) Glaubitz and John Glaubitz; his sister, Ilana (Gerry) Benusa; and his niece, Kristin Benusa; beloved cats, Chloe, Jimi, Tiger, Kayla and Cornelius.
Mark will be remembered with respect and gratitude by all who knew him, and his presence will be deeply missed.
