Mary was a very social person who easily made friends with her positive outlook and lively personality.
She enjoyed playing cards and other games with family and friends. Mary was always a very helpful and
kind person and she would set up and plan birthday parties for the residents at Colbert Square. Most of
all, Mary loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren loved her dearly and they all had their special grandmother nicknames. She enjoyed cooking delicious treats, like chicken noodles and her famous cinnamon rolls for her family and friends. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Mary leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories.
Mary Sergent has been reunited with her parents, Ted and Leona Sergent; and siblings Timothy
Sergent, James Marlin Sergent, Pearleen Stidham, Tony Sergent and her daughter, Cheryl Scrivener.
She leaves to cherish in her memory, sons, Ron (Lisa) Donley, Jeff (Sharon) Donley; daughter, Angela Donley; brothers, Donnie Sergent of Oak Hill, OH, Gary (Sandra) Sergent of Ironton, OH, Douglas (Shirley) Sergent of VA, Keith Sergent of Oak Hill, OH, Gregory Sergent of Oak Hill, OH; sisters, Kathleen (Bill) Jushaz of Jackson, OH, Vicki (Tim) Whittington of Oak Hill, OH, Marsha (Denver) Adkins of Oak Hill, OH; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home. A funeral service to honor the life of Mary Sergent will be held in the chapel
at Woodstock Funeral Home at 3:00 PM, following the visitation.
