Mattie enjoyed volunteering. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was in charge of the church kitchen at Wildwood Baptist Church. She is a member at Toonigh Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and nana.
Mattie leaves behind her husband of 53 loving years, Claude Early; children, Rochelle Burock (David), Maurice Early (Maggie) and Kerri Early; grandchildren, Rachel Bedwell (Jarrad), Robin Early, Thomas Early and Emmalyn Early; great-grandchildren, Talia and Selina Bedwell; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 1:00pm in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St, Woodstock, GA 30188. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mattie will be laid to rest at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA on Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11:00am.
