Maxine was born January 30, 1963, in Kingston, Jamaica to Norma Prudence Grace McLaughlin-Denton. She migrated to the United States after a hurricane destroyed her home in Jamaica.
Maxine was called to follow the Lord Jesus at the very young age of 11. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior on Good Friday and was baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit just two days later, on Easter Sunday.
The scripture that Maxine held most dear to her heart and strived to live by every day was Philippians 3:13-14
"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
Maxine was a single mother, a woman of great faith and great dignity, an ambassador for Christ, an evangelist to all those who would listen, and a valiant defender of her four children: Adrian, Nicholas, Ariana, and Marissa who she called "her only treasures on this Earth". She is survived by her children, her mother Norma, her three sisters: Christine, CarolAnn, and Donna, as well as other family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to any of the following organizations that were near and dear to Maxines heart or were beneficial to her quality of life in some way:
