

was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose greatest joy was his family. Michael shared 52 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Gwendolyn Cooper Geiger of Acworth, Georgia. Together they built a home filled with love, faith, and cherished memories.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil Geiger and Ethel Geiger of Quitman, Georgia, and his nephew, Michael Jason Geiger.
Michael survived by his wife, Gwendolyn Cooper Geiger of Acworth, Georgia; his son and daughter-in-law, William Lee and Melissa Geiger of Kennesaw, Georgia; his treasured granddaughter, Annalee Airam Geiger of Social Circle, Georgia; his brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Teresa Geiger of Albany, Georgia; his nieces and their husbands, Becky and Dan Folk of Canton, Georgia, and Cortney and Daniel Eldridge of Quitman, Georgia; his nephew, Jeremy Cooper of Barney, Georgia; and several great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom will forever cherish his memory.
Michael retired as an Audit Manager with the Office of Audit Services, Office of Inspector General, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Region IV, following a distinguished career marked by integrity, professionalism, and dedicated public service.
Outside of work, Michael found his greatest happiness in the simple pleasures of life. He treasured spending time with his family, eagerly followed college football, and never missed an opportunity to enjoy a good Western on television. His quiet strength, steady character, and unwavering love for those closest to him will be deeply missed.
A faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church in Acworth, Georgia, Michael lived his life guided by his Christian faith and a commitment to serving others.
His family finds comfort in knowing that his legacy of love, kindness, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Baptist Children's Home in Palmetto, Georgia, or New Hope Baptist Church in Acworth, Georgia, in honor of Michael's life and memory.
Visitation will be held at Woodstock Funeral Home, Inc., 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188, US, on July 10, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm.
The Funeral Service will take place at New Hope Baptist Church, 3800 New Hope Church Rd SE, Acworth, GA 30102, US, on July 11, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
The Committal Service will be held at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens, 4355 GA-92, Acworth, GA 30102, US, on July 11, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
