Michael Wayne Jenkins

He is survived by his wife Janice Peed Jenkins; his sons Michael (Carrie) Jenkins II, Dustin (Ashley) Jenkins, Jason (Lauren) Jenkins and Nicholas Jenkins; his grandchildren Liam and Lucas Jenkins; and his sister Cathy Jenkins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Jenkins (nee Mullins,) father, Roy Jenkins, and sister, Diane Crawford.

Mike was born in Houston, TX and graduated high school in Elizabethton, TN. Mike attained the rank of Captain in the US Army, serving during the Vietnam war. He received two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart for his service, among other accolades. He worked at Genuine Parts Company, eventually managing the Accounting and Data Processing Center in Norcross, GA. He retired on February 28, 2010, after 37 years of employment.

A memorial service will be held at Georgia National Cemetery on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 11:30 AM.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at Northside Cherokee Hospital and the Canton Nursing Center for their care and compassion in his final days.
