Michael Brian Lewis

Mr. Michael Brian Lewis, 59, of Canton, Georgia passed away February 13, 2017. Mike was born on July 31, 1957 to the late Bob and Ethel Lewis in Atlanta, Georgia. After graduating from Cherokee High School, Mike attended Kennesaw State University. He worked for the Cherokee County School System. Mike was a happy go lucky man and possessed a very sweet disposition. He loved to be with family and enjoyed fishing. He was also a loving father. Mike will be missed by many. He leaves behind his son, Shane Lewis, sisters, Waverly Thornton (Dan), Beverly Pitts (David) and Dale Ellis (Steve) and nieces and nephews, Christy Kown, Brad Nix, Spencer Nix and Corey Ellis. A celebration of Mike’s life will be on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 11:00am in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
