Michael Edward Mastrom

Michael graduated from St. Pius X High School as part of the Class of 1977 and later attended Georgia State University. He spent many years working in Atlanta’s restaurant community, serving as a waiter at Bones, Chops, and The Palm, where he was known by many colleagues and guests throughout the years.

Michael enjoyed dirt bike racing and was a devoted fan of Atlanta Braves baseball. He will be remembered for his love of sports and the friendships he made over the years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Mastrom; his stepfather, Jerry Olwell; and his sister, Cindy Mastrom.

Michael is survived by his son, Mathew Mastrom; his mother, Irma Olwell; his brother, Jim Mastrom (Robin); his step-sisters, Mary Anne Seday (Joe), Kathy Weiss (Wolfgang), Patty Olwell, Peggy Olwell, and Beth Olwell; and his step-brother, Michael Olwell. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

A private graveside interment for immediate family will be held at Arlington Memorial Park.
