Michael Augustine Patron

February 15, 1963 – October 14, 2026

Michael "Mickey" Augustine Patron Jr., a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and respected leader in his community, passed away on October 14, 2026, at his home in Acworth, Georgia.

Born on February 15, Mickey built a life defined by hard work, leadership, and unwavering dedication to his family and craft. A highly skilled craftsman, Mickey dedicated his career to the trade of welding. His passion and leadership earned him the respect of his peers, leading him to serve as President of Sheet Metal Workers Local 85 for 16 years. Beyond his time in leadership, Mickey’s true legacy in the trade lived on as a teacher and mentor, where he proudly guided and shaped the careers of countless incoming welders.

Outside of his work, Mickey was defined by his devotion to family and his love for the outdoors. In his retirement, he took up Tae Kwon Do as a way to bond and spend quality time with his grandchildren. What began as a family hobby quickly grew into a passion, with Mickey earning his credentials to become an instructor himself and earning a second degree black belt. When he wasn't at the school teaching and mentoring students, Mickey was in his element surrounded by nature at the hunting property. Mickey was an enthusiastic hunter of all game, especially the white tailed deer.

Mickey is preceded in death by his parents Michael Patron Sr. and Mary Patron; aunt, Martha Schwartzwalder; and cousin, Wesley Kilgore.

Mickey is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Patron; his daughters, Candice Beard (Conley), Tiffany Morris, and Crystal Pearce (Taylor); and his beloved grandchildren, Austin, Hayden, Addison, EJ, and Leah, who were his absolute pride and joy. His sister Mary Alazam (Mallory).

He is also survived by his uncle, Buster Schwartzwalder; and his cousins, Thomas Schwartzwalder, Franky Schwartzwalder (Teresa), and Pam Card (Danny).

Mickey will be remembered for his strength, his mentorship, his devotion to his family, and the steady guidance he offered to so many throughout his life.
