

Mrs. Mildred Helen Biondolillo of Canton, Georgia passed away January 5, 2015. She was born on February 27, 1923, in Norwich, CT to the late William and Mary Mulcahy. She graduated from Norwich Free Academy, where she lettered in volley ball. Mildred married Samuel Biondolillo, a WWII veteran, and then they started their family. Samuel worked for Dow Chemical Company as an International Marine Manager. During his career they lived in Norwich, CT, Midland, MI and Huston, Texas. Upon retirement, they relocated to Beverly Hills, Florida, and have spent the past ten years in Canton, GA. For many years, Mildred worked for American Heart Association in Norwich, CT. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, puzzles, dancing, gardening, traveling and making her famous spaghetti and meatballs. She also liked watching sports and spending time at the ocean with family and friends. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Marguerite and Annamae, brother, James and grandson, Nathan. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Samuel Russell Biondolillo, sons, Jim Biondolillo (Michele) and David Bionsolillo (Joyce), daughter, Donna Shepherd (Douglas), grandchildren, Nic, John, Andy, Dawn and Brian, 7 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. A funeral service will be on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 10:00am in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
