
Mitchell (Mickey) Kelly Lee, 77, of Acworth, GA, peacefully departed from this life on Sunday, January 14, 2024. Born in Douglas, GA, in Coffee County, he touched the lives of many with his warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James L. Lee and Wilma C. Lee, his son Michael Kelly Lee, and his sister Mary Melinda Lee Burnan. Mickey is survived by his loving wife, Theresa Thompson Lee, his brother James L. Lee (Cedus) of Fitzgerald, GA, his sister Delilah Ann Lee Johnson of Norcross, GA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mickey graduated from Bacon County High School and pursued further education at Trade School in Albany, GA. His dedicated career led him to retire from Yancey Brother, where he began as a field service representative before excelling in management. Mickey's loyalty and friendship endeared him to many colleagues.
Beyond his professional achievements, Mickey had a wide array of hobbies and interests. From tinkering with cars, machinery, clocks, and antiques to enjoying fishing expeditions, he embraced life's diverse pleasures. Mickey cherished spending time with family and friends, showcasing a big heart and a generous spirit. His willingness to care for and help others will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
The family will hold a private graveside burial on a date preceding the celebration of life. A commemorative celebration of Mickey's life will take place at Woodstock Funeral Home on February 3rd, commencing at 2 p.m. Friends are encouraged to join and share fond memories during this time. To ensure everyone has an opportunity to contribute, the family kindly requests adherence to the time limit, allowing for the meaningful participation of all.
