Nancy taught special needs children while her then beloved husband, C. Robert Sutherlin was in the military.
Nancy developed, wrote and taught a Pre-K Curriculum in Titusville, FL.
As an entrepreneur, Nancy founded and managed the lucrative counseling center in Orlando, FL.: “The Turning Point”
Nancy was a Child Advocate in Florida court cases
Nancy & Carl founded and ran “The Haven Christian Retreat Center” in Jasper, GA.
Personal:
Nancy was a fun mother who brought God and the world to her 4 children. She was a zealous person who loved to take on many projects, a professional entrepreneur, she was a seamstress, a water and snow skier, an advanced embroiderer, choir director, tutored many a student, a bilingual teacher, book club member, PTA volunteer, pianist and piano instructor, leader of an all-ladies barbershop quartet, runway model, trained chef, a mime artist, an avid gardener, hiker and bird watching enthusiast. Nancy was an interdisciplinary artist working in inks, acrylics, oils, watercolor, charcoal and fabrics; always looking for a creative challenge. She was a member of a Reinhardt Chorale singing group with her beloved husband, Carl Farley.
Religious involvements:
Nancy brought countless people to the Lord who then accepted Christ into their hearts as Lord and Savior. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21
Through her life, Nancy led numerous Bible Studies, taught Sunday School classes, directed Vacation Bible Studies, planned Pageants and was a soprano soloist in different church choirs.
Nancy was a Volunteer Chaplain with the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team in Asheville, NC
