Neal was born on April 4,1951 in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Deland High School
in 1969. After serving in the Air Force, he attended Daytona Beach Community College
and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's
degree.
After graduation, he worked in the healthcare industry. He was the Emergency
Management Coordinator at WellStar Cobb Hospital.
A beloved husband and father, Neal is survived by his wife, Kaye. He is also survived
by his daughter, Tanya Agler of Woodstock, and her husband Jamie Agler. He was the
proud grandfather of Ellie, Mike, Carrie and Matthew Agler. He was also a beloved
brother to his sisters, Grace Petit, Barbara Weisenborn, and Mary Snead. He will also
be missed by his stepchildren, Mark and Mary Thrasher, Melissa and Greg Marano, and
Michael and Kelly Thrasher, as well as by his stepgrandchildren, Shelby, Karin and
Mindy Thrasher, Jacob, John and Sam Marano, and Jordan Thrasher.
A lifelong University of Georgia fan, Neal's humor and laughter were his trademarks.
The family will welcome friends at the visitation on Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 5-8
P.M. at Woodstock Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday,
June 23, 2013 at 2 P.M. at the Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jamie
Butcher officiating. There will be a reception following the Celebration of Life service at
his home in Woodstock. Interment will follow on Monday, June 24, 2013 at 10 A.M. at
Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA, with Chaplain Raymond Cuffman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Neal's name to the Wounded Warriors
Project (support.woundedwarriorsproject.org).
