Nellie was a devout Christian woman who was involved in church activities her entire life. She raised her children and worked in retirement homes. She survived her husband by 35 years but remained involved with Senior Citizen activity as well as Red Hat Society.and church groups. She lived independent until she was 91
And loved Southern food and helping others. Like her husband she was an avid reader and had her own poetry published in various publications, as well as an avid Bills fan in WNY where they both lived for 39 years, Even though her roots were Appalachian. She had also penned a song that is awaiting distribution. She was a positive minded person and never harbored ill will toward anyone. She was an honest person and a treasure to those that had the pleasure of meeting her. She will be missed by many.
