Oscar Fred Kirkley, Jr

Major Oscar Fred Kirkley, Jr., age 74, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023, in Woodstock, Georgia. A graduate of the University of Georgia, he served 17 years as an officer in the United States Air Force. He was passionate about serving his country that he loved with a couple tours of duty overseas. After retiring from the Air Force, he taught Psychology a few years at Darton College, currently Albany State University.

Major Kirkley is survived by his three sons; Brian, Matthew and Raquel (spouse), and Mark and Natalie (spouse), and seven grandchildren; Carter, Austin, Addison, Cassidy, Abby, Caroline, and Lilly.

Preceding Major Kirkley are his parents Oscar Fred Kirkley, Sr. and Geraldine Kirkley, his sister Glenda and Randy (spouse) Linahan.

There will be a viewing on Monday, March 13, from 6pm-8pm at Poole Funeral Home in Woodstock, Georgia and a graveside service will be held at Floral Memory Gardens in Albany, Georgia on Tuesday, March 14 at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Poole Funeral Home or Floral Memory Gardens.
