Patricia Ann Gibson of Acworth, GA passed away suddenly on October 25, 2020. Patricia is preceded in death by her son, Cecil Allen Gibson and also by her parents, Marjorie and Clifford Baxter. She leaves behind her husband of fifty years, Cecil Winton Gibson; her daughter, Alicia Ann Gibson Davis; son-in-law, Christopher Scott Davis, and her grandchildren, Samuel Winton Davis, Sofia Grace Davis, and Lyla Faith Davis; as well as her step-granddaughter, Macie Parker Davis. In addition, her sister, Brenda Baxter Chance, brother-in-law Paul Chance, and many nieces and nephews. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She truly made her family feel like they were the whole world and she gave selflessly of herself to love on her husband, children and grandchildren.
Pat was loved by so many and known for her outgoing spirit, love for others and her love for Christ. Pat was most proud of her family and enjoyed spending every moment with them.
Pat was a graduate of North Cobb High School, and she drove a school bus for Cherokee County School District for 20 years before retiring. After that, she became a general manager at Woodstock Furniture Outlet, where she was considered family.
There will be a private visitation and service for family only on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Bascomb United Methodist Church in Woodstock, GA. She will be laid to rest at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Acworth, GA.
Due to restrictions of the Covid-19 Pandemic, we are unable to have friends attend. However, there will be a live stream available at https://www.facebook.com/BascombUMC. From her family to her church and work, she loved deeply and fully. Pat's impact on this world will never be forgotten.
Pat’s greatest love was her family and she was especially proud of her grandchildren. Therefore, in lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Cecil Gibson and marked for the Grandchildren’s 529 Account.
