Raised in Rossville, Georgia, she graduated from Rossville High School, where she formed lifelong friendships and began building the warm, joyful spirit that would stay with her throughout her life.
Patsy had a love for all sports and a wonderful sense of humor. She was never afraid to laugh at herself, and she brought that lightness and joy to the people around her. She loved traveling, setting out on new adventures, and trying something new whenever the opportunity came along.
Above all, Patsy was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She never missed a sporting event, dance recital, orchestra concert, school musical, or play. Her unconditional love for her family was evident in the way she put them before herself and celebrated every moment of their lives.
She is survived by her children, Jeff Herring and his wife, Stephanie, and Brooke Cobb and her husband, Anthony; her grandchildren, Bennett, Scarlett, Henry, Savannah, Millie, and Sadie; her sister, Brenda O'Kelley; her brother, Jimmy Ransom and his wife, Eileen; and her nieces and nephews.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Billie Ransom, and her niece, Jennifer Dean.
She will be remembered for her devotion to family, her humor, her adventurous spirit, and the love she shared so freely with those around her.
