

Pedro was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He immigrated to the USA in 1950 and joined the U.S. Marines and served during the Korea War.
After his service with the Marines he returned to Laredo, Texas, and went to work at the local Air Force base as an accountant. He worked as a civil servant for the US Air Force and US Army for 40 years. He had the opportunity to serve in amazing locations around the world, including, Panama, Okinawa and Germany and stateside in Arizona and New Mexico. He retired to San Antonio and continued to serve the public doing tax returns for H&R block for 20 years.
Pedro was the 2nd of eight children. He was a devoted brother, son and father, he loved his family above all. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 60 years, Carmen, and his three children, Pedro, Velda and Leslie.
Pedro’s hobbies included a great love for reading science fiction books, telling stories, woodworking, yard work, and teaching his children how to be frugal like him.
No matter what, Pedro was always the calm, collected one in the group and was exceptionally loved by everyone that got to know him. He will be missed, but, damn, he had a great life.
A committal service for Pedro will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 9:00 AM at Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, Georgia 30144.
