Peggy Yvonne Mauldin

A daughter of the late Jesse and Edna Smith Gramling, she was born in Paulding County, Georgia, and had lived a period of time in Texas before moving back to Georgia. Peggy was a very hard worker and she never met a stranger. She worked at Waffle House for many years where she loved taking care of her customers and meeting new people.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mauldin; a daughter, Becky Hobgood; and two sons, Tony and Bradley Hobgood.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Timothy Thornton of Conroe, Texas; her grandchildren, April Hobgood of Acworth, GA, T.J. Thornton and his wife Krissy of Fullerton, CA, Jason Hobgood of Atlanta, Ryan Thornton and his wife Kristina of Hockley, TX, Mark Hobgood of Cumming, GA, and Matthew Hobgood of Cumming, GA; two daughters-in-law, Lynne Hobgood of Acworth and Wanda Hobgood of Cumming. Great grandchildren Chris Thornton, Brayden Thornton and Jade-Avery Thornton.

The funeral service to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 19, 2013 in the Chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Coady officiating. Interment will be at Macedonia Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM Tuesday,June 18th.
