Penelope Allan
January 30, 1939 – January 3, 2014
Penelope ‘Penny’ Jane Allan, 74, of Woodstock, GA was called home to our Lord on January 3, 2014 after a long illness. She was born on January 30, 1939 in Springfield, Illinois. Penny was a devoted and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved life, laughter, her Catholic faith and the company of her family and friends. She will be missed for her sense of humor, warm smile and fighting spirit. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all that knew and loved her. She was the loving mother of surviving daughter Lori (Tony) Aultman of Woodstock, GA and son Michael (Lori) Allan of Suwanee, GA. Survived by seven grandchildren Kandi, Christopher (Heather), Caitlin, Julia, Sarah, Lindsay and Thomas, and five great grandchildren, Dylan, Lauren, Haylee, Hayden and Chevy. She is also survived by her sister, Patricia (Rex) Strickland, and two brothers Joe and Tim Fitch along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Her mother, Mary Jane Fitch and father, Arthur Fitch preceded Penny in death. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at the Woodstock Funeral Home 8855 Main Street Woodstock, Georgia. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 10:30am at St. Michael the Archangel, 490 Arnold Mill Rd, Woodstock, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA) – www.phassociation.org.
