Mr. MacArthur was an avid sailor and was commander of the Atlanta Power and Sail Squadron, where he taught Navigation.
Survivors include his loving wife Joan MacArthur, Woodstock, GA; a son, Daniel MacArthur; five grandchildren, Peter Bracci, Christine Beninati, Paul MacArthur, Carrie-Ann MacArthur, and Philip MacArthur; also nine great grandchildren.
Celebration of life services will be held 11 A.M., Friday, January 25, 2013 at Christ Episcopal Church, 1210 Wooten Lake Road, Kennesaw, GA with the Rev. Doris Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Wellstar Tranquility Hospice at Kennesaw Mountain, 475 Dickson Avenue, Marietta, GA 30064 or Christ Episcopal Church, 1210 Wooten Lake Road, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
