Mr. Sherman was born on December 19, 1940 in Goffstown, New Hampshire to the late Victor John Sherman and Dorothy Wood Penniman Sherman.
At the age of 19, Mr. Sherman enlisted into the U.S. Navy while living in Daytona Beach, Florida.
He worked as a union factory worker for the automotive company, Hoover NSK.
Mr. Sherman was a private individual. He enjoyed his family, was a fan of the New York Yankees, and had a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his three sons, David, Randy, and Phillip Sherman to cherish his memory.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Woodstock Funeral Home in Woodstock, Georgia with Navy Honors being rendered at 6:00 pm. Cremation will follow and Mr. Sherman's cremains are planned to be scattered in the Gulf of Mexico per his wishes.
