

Mr. Ray Holloway, 70, of Woodstock, GA passed away August 1, 2017. Ray was born on January 15, 1947 in Corona, CA to the late James William and Hester Virginia Holloway and grew up in Whitwell, TN. After graduating from Whitwell High School, Ray joined the United States Army and honorably served during the Vietnam War. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Ray worked for MARTA as a bus driver and retired after 22 years. He was a hardworking man and always placed his family’s needs above his own. Ray was a loving husband and father and doting grandfather. He is going to be tremendously missed by his family. Ray leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Sue Holloway; son, Scott Holloway (Tammy), daughters, Darlene Williams (Daryl) and Tammy Owen (Ted); grandchildren, Jonathan, Janna, Dawson and Sydnee; brother, Carl L. Holloway; and sisters, Faye Kilgore and Betty Holloway. He was preceded in death brothers, John, Paul and Charlie Holloway. A funeral service will be Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 4-8pm at the funeral home.
