Raymond B. Hudson

Raymond B. Hudson passed away January 24, 2012 at his residence in Woodstock, Georgia. Raymond was born September 11, 1918 to Will and Abby Hudson on the family farm outside of Fordyce, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary McCleish and Sue Faquori. He is survived by daughters Nancy Wahler of El Paso Texas, Elizabeth Abeyta of Loganville, Georgia, Maria Defede of Bethesda, Maryland and Rosa Hitchcock of Woodstock, Georgia, sons, James Hudson of Sugarland, Texas and Robert Hudson of Denver, Colorado, 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Raymond was a Godly father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in WWll and also in Korea. He was in the Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities. While living in Arkansas he served in local and county government and was an avid Razorback fan until the end. A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, January 27, 2012 at 10:30 am from the Woodstock Funeral Home chapel. Interment will follow at 12:30 pm at Georgia National Cemetery with full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 pm TODAY January 26, 2012 at the funeral home.
