Rhonda Lynn MacKinnon

Rhonda MacKinnon, 63, passed peacefully on July 9th, 2022, after a battle with cancer with her family at her side in Canton, GA. Rhonda was born on July 31, 1958, in Beverly, MA to Thomas and Caryl Shalkoski. Rhonda loved gardening, birds, thunderstorms, and spending her time with family. She worked 25+ years with the Cherokee County School System and developed many wonderful friendships along the way. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Glenn MacKinnon; daughter, Lindsay (Matthew) Brinkley; son, Kyle (Courtney) MacKinnon; 3 grandsons, Camden, Collin, and Patrick. She was excited about a fourth grandson on the way in November of 2022. She is also survived by her 4 brothers, Stephan (Sharlene), Jim (Paula), Tom (Susan), and John, as well as 2 nieces and 6 nephews. Memorial donations may be made in honor of Rhonda to St. Jude's Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org, or if you'd like to send flowers, daisies were her favorite.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, July 16th, 2022 at Poole Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park with Poole Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
