Robert Lester Blanton, 82, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, in Ball Ground, Georgia.Born on September 12, 1943, in Lakeland, Florida, Robert grew up in Chicago and Amboy,Illinois. After serving his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1964 to 1968, he and hiswife, Connie, settled down in Madison, Florida, where they lived for more than 45 years. In2015, they moved to Ball Ground, Georgia, where they enjoyed their retirement together.
Robert was deeply devoted to his family and cherished the time spent with them. He alsopossessed a passion for woodworking and riding his motorcycles. He lived by this simple, yetpowerful principle: "A man is only as good as his word."
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty years, Connie; his daughter, Crystal Blanton Coppola(Chad); his son, Robert Lee Blanton (Heather); his cherished grandchildren, Robert LondonBlanton, Chase Joseph Coppola, and Raleigh Lynn Blanton; and his sister, Linda Carrier.Robert was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Blanton.
Robert will be laid to rest at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia
