Enjoyed growing up with Marc and my cousins Playing games (kick the can, mother may I?, etc) at grandmother’s house
As an adult he was always kind to our children

How do you portray a True Forever Friend?
Marc Maxwell was my neighbor, grade school, high school, and college mate.  As a fellow Boy Scout, Marc personified the Scout Law:  Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, Reverent.  A fellow Elbertonian, Georgian, and Veteran—Marc was A True American Patriot.  Marc always had your back.
One of the most well read and prolific readers and modestly, brilliant men I have ever known, Marc was the first to check on his friends and loved ones when historical or extraordinary events took place whether tornadoes, earthquakes, or stellar anomalies.  
Marc was a blessing to me and every member of my family and was truly called Home too soon—no doubt to handle updates and intelligence.  
Godspeed Marc.  You always could outrun me.

So sorry to learn of Marc's passing. I prepared his taxes for over 35 years. Along with preparing his taxes, we became friends, sharing our lives with each other.  He was one who thought of others, by arranging for things after he was gone to expressing his gratitude to others while alive. He was a very thoughtful, gracious gentleman. I will miss him but heaven is a little sweeter.
