Robert was born on February 18, 1941, in Manchac, Louisiana.
Robert found great joy in working in his yard and tending to his vegetable garden. Robert enjoyed word searches, feeding the squirrels, watching television, listening to Gospel music, and spending time with his dog, Rockie. Robert was known for his determination and was very active until the end.
Robert has been reunited with his wife, Nellie Scharwarth; brother, Kenneth Scharwarth; and sisters, Barbara Cox, Vivian Shelton, Brenda Brumfield, Carolyn Scharwarth, and Dorothy Loftus.
Robert is survived by his daughters, Teresa Latino, Patricia Landry, Carolyn Arsenault, Glenda Gross; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, December 12, 2020, at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St, Woodstock, GA 30188.
In place of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org
