Robert Slaughter

Born June 17, 1961, Robert Slaughter was a self-made man. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Florida but spent his career in the IT industry, learning what he needed on the job and constantly studying and attending classes to advance his knowledge. He balanced the intensity of his job with his two favorite hobbies, model railroading and board and role-playing games. He was a voracious reader who loved science fiction and fantasy works. He was a spiritual explorer, always learning about different spiritual paths. He ws well liked and respected by his friends and family. He passed away in his sleep December 24, 2024 at the age of 63. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Talbot. A memorial service is scheduled for February 16, 2025 at 3pm at Unity North Atlanta Church in Marietta, GA.
