Mr. Ruggles was born in Marietta, GA and was a graduate of Sprayberry High School. He later went on to graduate from Kennesaw State University. He served his country in the US Army Air National Guard, where he flew Blackhawk choppers.
Rodney was employed with J.P. Haynes Lumber Company for 5 years and was preceded in death by his father, James F. Ruggles. He was a beloved husband, father, son and brother and will be deeply missed.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Dale Ruggles; son, Joshua E. Ruggles; daughter, Rebecca R. Ruggles; mother & step-father, Collene Ruggles & James Fann; sister, Debra Sexton; niece, Amanda Dixon.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30AM Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Noonday Baptist Church. Rodney will lie-in-state from 10:00-10:30AM at the church. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Woodstock Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 16th from 5:00-8:00PM.
