Roy Glen Poole

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, Dothan with Rev. Ray Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Poole Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held on Thursday morning from 9-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to the Mission Program at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Mr. Poole was born April 25, 1948, in Troy, AL to the late Riley and Sara Lee Poole. Mr. Poole was a concrete and asphalt contractor for over 50 years in the Wiregrass area. Roy also sold heavy trucks and trailers since 1999 and owned Poole Truck Sales in Dothan.

Mr. Poole was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Joe Bob, and James Poole; his sister, Janett Poole; one grandson, Riley Case Poole; one granddaughter, Layton Leigh Purswell; son-in-law, Ronald Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Dianne Poole, Dothan, AL; children, Barbi (Brad) Lee, Deatsville, AL, Brian (Amy) Poole, Cleveland, TN, Brent (Stancey) Poole, Webb, AL, Charity (JP) Taylor, Georgetown, GA., Chrisalyn Brown, Clopton, AL, and Heather Poole (Larry) Purswell, Slocomb, AL; grandchildren, Olivia and Ava Poole Cleveland, TN, Hank Poole, Maddox Tillery, and Bailee Tillery, all of Webb, AL, Zachary (Jacque) Benefield, Baton Rouge, LA., Andrew Benefield, Eufaula, AL., Jake Taylor, Eufaula, AL., Shelby (Micah) Yance, Troy, AL., Kailee (Peyton) Millirons, Lynn Haven, FL., Keaton (Madelyn) Sasser, Dothan, AL., McKenzie Sasser, Dothan, AL., Joely (Toby Hall) Purswell, Dothan, AL., Hayden Purswell, Dothan, AL; great grandchildren, Brinley Sasser, Oaklynn Cogman, Tatum Cogman, all of Dothan, AL. and Lyla Millirons, Lynn Haven, FL.
