Ruby Nell Hughes Smith

Ms. Smith was the daughter of the late Wesley Clayton & Maudie Jones Hughes and was preceded in death by her son, Michael Ray Smith; brothers, C.W. Hughes, Billy Ray Hughes & Jesse Hughes; sisters, Katherine Lassiter & Elizabeth Mottle. She was a teacher for over 30 years, most recently at Cobb County Christian School and was a member Mt. Paran North Church of God

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandy & Charles Chambers, Rydal, GA; daughter-in-law, Gerri Smith, Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Becky Stewart, Jimmy Carlisle, Kimberly Smith & Leah Smith; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Martha Girdner & Patricia Medley; brothers, David Hughes, Robert Hughes & Clayton “Sonny” Hughes; numerous nieces & nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30AM Thursday, November 11, 2010 in the Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Eternal Hills Memory Gardens, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends at Woodstock Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 10th from 6:00-8:00PM.
