

Salma, as a homemaker, found great pride in caring for her family. She loved raising her children and enjoyed the quality time they spent together. She enjoyed cooking special dishes, sewing and tending to her flowers and plants in the garden. Though she enjoyed her hobbies, she received her greatest joy from being a mother and a grandmother. Her love for her family was very evident in every area of her life. On September 1, 2008, Salma and her husband moved to the United States. She was also very strong in her faith with God.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Teresa and Shamon Yousif; she is survived by her son, Vady Barbari; daughters, Evon Abdul Ahad and Fulla Barbari; daughter-in-law, Farah Humam; son-in-laws, Greg Saeed and Karam Jazrawi; brothers, Basheer Chinavo, Joseph Chinavo, Marzaban Chinavo and Fahmi Chinavo; sisters, Majeeda Chinavo, Huda Chinavo and Josephine Chinavo; grandchildren, Zaid Barbari, Zain Barbari, Katherine Saeed, Julie Saeed and Lily Saeed.
A funeral service in honor of Mrs. Salma Yousif will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Woodstock, Georgia with internment following at 2:00 p.m. at Cherokee Memorial Park in Canton, Georgia.
