Samuel "Sam" Devon Langston Jr.

Sam was the oldest of two children and was born to Samuel Devon Langston Sr. and Darine Linton Langston. He was born and raised in Goldsboro, North Carolina and exceled in basketball in the Boys & Girls Club. He was part of the graduating class of '92 at Goldsboro High School.

Sam met the love of his life, Lindsey, in 2004 and the two were inseparable. Sam's family grew to include his son, Chase Kettering, and two daughters, Jillian and Amanda Langston.

Sam had an amazing sense of humor and ability to make friends with everyone. He enjoyed making others smile and could always be heard saying "wake up" to the world. He enjoyed watching all sports and his favorite team were the Red Skins. Sam also enjoyed playing video games on his PlayStation and cell phone. More than anything, Sam loved spending time with his family.

His memory will be cherished by his wife, Lindsey Langston of Dallas, Georgia; children, Chase Kettering, Jillian Langston and Amanda Langston of Dallas, Georgia; parents, Samuel and Darine Langston of Spring Lake, North Carolina; sister, Felicia Boyd of Spring Lake, North Carolina; grandmothers, Clydie Langston of Goldsboro, North Carolina and Irene Crawford of California; grandfathers, Everette Linton Sr. of Cincinnati, Ohio and L.D. Vick of Goldsboro, North Carolina and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

His family will receive friends on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home 8855 Main Street Woodstock, Georgia 30188.
