

Samuel Rodriguez Jaime was born on April 7, 1953, in Ruiz, Nayarit, Mexico. He was an auto body technician, working in both the U.S. and Australia. Sam enjoyed traveling and exploring history up close, with an appreciation for learning about culture, language, and cuisine. He enjoyed a wide range of music, from ’80s pop to Frank Sinatra, as well as classic singers like Raphael, José Alfredo Jiménez, Freddy Fender, and Marco Antonio Solís. He loved history and watching television and movie classics.
Sam is survived by his wife, Linda G. Rodriguez; sons, Ivan Rodriguez (Yvette) and Christopher Rodriguez (Ana); and stepchildren, Deborah Pascoe (Justin), Laura O'Keefe (Matthew), Brian Cathcart, and Clayton Cathcart.
He is also survived by his siblings: Joel Rodriguez Jaime (Maria Elena), Saul Rodriguez Jaime (Rosa), Celia Rodriguez Jaime (Ernesto), Amada Rodriguez Jaime, Maria Azucena Rodriguez Jaime (Vicente), Placido Rodriguez Jaime (Cande), Moctezuma Rodriguez Jaime (Blanca), and Norma "Elly" Rodriguez Jaime and grandchildren: Alexis and Ivan Rodriguez, Samantha and Nico Pascoe, Brendan Faulkner, Alyssa O'Keefe, and George and Henry Cathcart. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Placido Rodriguez and Amada Jaime, and siblings, Eva Rodriguez Jaime and Jose Ruben Rodriguez Jaime (Maria Lucia).
A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 87 Lacy Street NW, Marietta, Georgia 30060, on Saturday, June 28, at 11:00 AM with reception to follow. Msgr. John Walsh will preside.
