

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Before her retirement, Sandra was an elementary school teacher at Oak Grove and R.M. Moore Elementary Schools in Cherokee County. She taught for 30 years and had a Master's degree in education.
She was an active member of Wildwood Baptist Church in Acworth for 57 years.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, William H. Whitlock, Jr, her parents, Guy and Dorothy Mauldin, and her twin brothers Jim and Jerry Mauldin.
She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-laws, William H. Whitlock, III (Lisa) of Kennesaw and David G. Whitlock (Laura) of Acworth. Also surviving are her grandchildren Zachary Whitlock (Brianca), Audrey Bennett (Greg), Joshua Whitlock (Katy), Amanda Brendel (Nicolas), Samuel Whitlock (Abigail), Jacob Whitlock (Mattie), Ashlynne Whitlock (Michael), and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Wildwood Baptist Church, 4801 Wade Green Road, Acworth.
She will lie in state at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Rolling Hills Memorial Gardens, Acworth.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Calvary Children's Home, 1430 Lost Mountain Road, Powder Springs, GA 30127 or to Wildwood Baptist Church, 4801 Wade Green Road, Acworth, GA 30102.
