James Scott Kenerly, 59, of Woodstock, GA died Tuesday morning, October 1st.

He was born to Hildreth and Anne Maude Kenerly, March 25th, 1960 in Atlanta, GA. He graduated from Wills High School in 1978, and attended Trevecca Nazarene University thereafter. He married Robin McPherson in 1981. They lived together at Trevecca, before relocating to Ohio, and finally Woodstock, GA.

Scott was a letter carrier for the USPS for 30 years before retiring in 2018. He was an avid sports fan, most notably for the Georgia Bulldogs, and as a long time season ticket holder for the Atlanta Falcons. I remember the first time I met Scott after Sam and Kyle started dating- such an easy person to be around- real, not pretentious with this great dry sense of humor. His love for Payton was so genuine and sweet. I remember listening to her cackle as he pushed her in a box across the floor. I had never met such an avid sports fan- I think of him every time the Falcons play. He was a great husband, father and grandfather- he will be missed and remembered fondly.
