My mom september harkey is the most brave and strong person I know. Once 2 years age for Alexa, my sisters birthday we went to Lake Tahoe. The doctors had said don't do anything to dangerous to hurt her back. But the next day she was the one leading the pack on hikes, bike rides, and even a ropes course. She knew what to do and did it all like a boss. And the thing about that trip it made her just a little better spiritually and physically. She's more than just my mom she's my best friend!! I love you mama!!

So grateful to have spent time with the amazing & beautiful September Harkey + fam in one of her favorite spots. I’m one of many who can honestly say they are a better person for knowing her. September = graceful, courageous, witty, wise, determined, hilarious, compassionate, patient, super smart & she simply makes life more fun. Thank you September for taking me in (literally) on the first day we met & treating me like part of the family ever since. September will always be on my mind and in my heart. Love you guys.

Mrs. Harkey (or Ms. Madison as I knew her) was an unbelievably sweet and caring person. I was a difficult student to wrangle, and, despite that, September was patient enough to see that much of my misbehavior was an outlet for my frustration. She worked extra hard with my parents to get me on the right track in Math, which was then one of my worst subjects - and I've since gone on to become a software engineer. Thank you, Ms. Madison and Rest In Peace.
