Shirley Marie (Timms) Weaver, age 86, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Felton, Georgia, to Henry Timms and Armenda Hindman Timms.
Shirley was one of the original members at Rope Mill Baptist Church in Woodstock, GA. While she was in no hurry to leave her family, she made preparations early on to spend eternity in Heaven with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She poured her love into everything she did, whether she was sewing, crocheting, photographing her family, or nurturing her beautiful indoor houseplants. Her greatest passion, however, was her family. She loved sharing her wisdom and teaching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Shirley was their biggest fan, rarely missing a game or cheer competition and always showing up to support them in all of their sports.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert Ray Weaver; her parents Henry Timms and Armenda Hindman Timms; and brothers, Edward Hindman, Raymond Timms, Lowell Timms, and William Timms.
She is survived by her children Jeffery (Kim) Weaver and Patti (Scott) Duncan; grandchildren Daniel (Lindsey) Duncan, Samantha Oberley (John Calhoun), Keith (Megen) Weaver, Libby West, Krissy (William) Bubel, Jacob Weaver, and Carson Weaver (Madison West); great-grandchildren Taylor Wills, Jaylin Wills, Kenley Duncan, Madison Buchanan, Raelynn Oberley, Piper Willis, Landen Dennis, Marley Earegood, Kayden West, Ella West, Hudson Bubel, and Charlotte Bubel; siblings Lucille Hanks and Wilson Timms; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 22, 2026 from 6pm to 9pm at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA. 30188. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026 at 11am in the Reece Memorial Chapel with Ricky Weaver officiating.
Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
