Thomas “Tom” Luebke, age 68, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at his home with his loving wife by his side.
Tom was born to the late Robert and Rebecca Luebke on March 12, 1951. He was one of the first 100 babies to be born at the newly constructed Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. He had three brothers: Kim, Ronnie and Bob. Tom was a graduate of Sandy Springs High School where he built life-long friendships amongst many great people.
Tom had a joyful heart and lived life to its fullest. He had a great sense of humor and was the kind of guy who could never meet a stranger. Tom had many friends, shared laughter with the world and loved a good, cold beer.
After meeting the love of his life, Martha, the two were inseparable. Tom and Martha married on March 12, 1994. Tom’s family grew to include Martha’s children: Daniel, Matthew and Melissa. He was a loving father, grandfather and a devoted husband.
He was a hard worker and served as a Supervisor for Aquaguard. He looked forward to spending time with his work family and enjoyed the hunt for the newest “Ugly Hawaiian Shirt” for the annual company picnic.
Tom’s memory will be cherished by his wife of 25 years, Martha Luebke; children, Daniel Jones, Matthew Wallace and his wife, Candice, and Melissa Autry; grandchildren, Madison and Olivia “Ollie”; brothers, George Kimsey “Kim” Edmondson and his wife, Joyce, Ronnie Edmondson and his wife, Janice, and Robert “Bob” Luebke Jr. and his wife, Sondra; niece, Rhonda Poindexter and her husband, Thomas “Tommy” Poindexter; and other extended family members.
