Mr. Thomas Dudley Pitner

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela S. (Carl) Frinzi, son, Thomas David Pitner (Grey) daughter, Judy Ellis (Art); and his grandchildren, Kristina F. Byers (Logan), Carl Joseph Frinzi, Jr., Thomas David Pitner Jr. (Lora), Kelly Kline (Cameron), Katie Miller (Garrett) , Johnny Ellis, and Bennett Ellis. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren; Juliette, Sawyer, Noah, Luke, Wells, and Charlie. They brought tremendous joy to his life and will carry his memory forward for generations to come. His brother, William Pitner and sister-in-law Joyce Pitner, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Tom was a man of deep Catholic faith, which remained a guiding force throughout his life. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and took great pride in his faith, his service, and the fellowship he shared with others. His devotion to God and his Catholic faith was an important part of the example he set for his family.

Tom had a lifelong love of sports. In his younger years, he played both baseball and football in high school and continued his football career in college at Washington & Jefferson College and Potomac State. His passion for sports never left him. He passed that love on to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating a tradition that brought the family together through the years. Some of their fondest times were spent gathered together, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs.

Tom also enjoyed golf and continued to play for as long as he was able. And anyone who knew Tom knew of his special love for dogs. He loved all things canine and always had a soft spot for the dogs who became part of his family over the years.

But Tom’s greatest love was his family.

He took great pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and treasured the time they spent together. Whether cheering for a favorite team, celebrating life’s milestones, or simply enjoying one another’s company, family was at the center of Tom’s life.

Tom will be remembered for his strong faith, his devotion to his family, his love of sports, and his ability to bring generations together. He leaves behind more than memories. He leaves a lasting legacy of faith, family traditions, and love that will continue through his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave, the traditions he began, and the example he set will remain in the hearts of his family and all who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Tom’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Catholic Charities, or the Knights of Columbus.

Visitation will be held at Woodstock Funeral Home, Inc., 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188, US, on September 13, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will take place at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church, 11330 Woodstock Rd, Roswell, GA 30075, US, on September 14, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery & Mausoleum, 950 Mansell Rd, Roswell, GA 30076, US, on September 14, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
