Mrs. Virginia Hames Fox, age 85 years old, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on March 16, 2018. Mrs. Fox was born on December 12, 1932 in Canton, Georgia, a daughter to the late Paul and Bertha Hames.
Mrs. Virginia was a woman of many words. She was kind, loving, strong-willed, and her determination was present in her every day activities. Her love for her family was shown in every aspect of her life. Mrs. Fox cherished every moment she had with her family and her grandkids, especially her great-grandson, Rickey Fox. He always put a smile on her face. Her dog, Scout, was also loved and very much a part of the family.
Throughout her life, Mrs. Fox enjoyed gardening, shopping and going on many church outings. They would do things such as going to apple orchards, Going to Rock City, and even traveling trips; One even took her to the Holy Land. These certain church activities were important to her, because she was very devoted to her faith. She retired from Lockheed and enjoyed watching Nascar and loved the Atlanta Falcons.
She is survived by her son, David and his wife Gina Fox; grandson, Michael and his wife Guinna Fox; and great-grandson, Rickey Fox. As well as several Step Grandchildren and step greatgrandchildren.
A funeral service to honor Mrs. Virginia Fox will be held on Monday, March 19, 2018 at two o’clock in the afternoon, at Little River United Methodist Church. She will be laid to rest in the church cemetery following the service.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, March 18th, 2018 from five to eight o’clock in the evening at Woodstock Funeral Home.
